An optin page is the lead-capturing first step of a funnel. Fill it in and you're sent straight to the next step — in this case the checkout page.

What happens on submit
1
The lead is captured
Every completed form counts as a funnel conversion in FunnelKit. All submissions — name, email, phone — sit together in the optin tab: see them here.
2
An automation fires
The trigger is “Form Submits” under FunnelKit Optin Form. The form fields are mapped to contact fields, so the contact is created and its details can be used in follow-up emails. This automation is the one connected to this form — it just sends one email to the customer.
3
The visitor moves on
Right after submitting, the funnel sends the visitor to the next step — a checkout (as here) or a thank-you page where you carry the conversation forward with an offer or next action.
Good to know
This is a one-step optin: the form sits on the page itself. A two-step variant shows a button first and the form in a popup — useful for lowering the threshold.
Fields are fully editable: add, remove, reorder, and set your own placeholders — fewer fields usually means a higher conversion rate.
Besides the email that goes out now, leads can also be pushed to a CRM or sent to another system through a webhook.
